App Not Connecting
EcoFlow Portable Power Station
Severity: MinorWhat Does This Error Mean?
EcoFlow app connects via Bluetooth when nearby and via Wi-Fi when connected to your home network. If the app cannot find the unit, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, the EcoFlow is within 10 metres, and both the app and firmware are up to date.
Affected Models
- EcoFlow DELTA
- EcoFlow DELTA Pro
- EcoFlow DELTA Max
- EcoFlow DELTA 2
- EcoFlow RIVER Pro
- EcoFlow RIVER 2
Common Causes
- Bluetooth disabled on the phone
- EcoFlow unit too far from the phone for Bluetooth pairing
- EcoFlow app out of date — older versions lose compatibility after firmware updates
- EcoFlow unit firmware needs updating before the app can connect
- Phone previously paired and the stored pairing data is corrupted
- EcoFlow server outage affecting cloud features
How to Fix It
-
Enable Bluetooth and stand within 3 metres of the EcoFlow.
Initial pairing requires Bluetooth. Open your phone's Bluetooth settings and confirm it is on. Stand close to the EcoFlow unit — initial pairing range is typically 5–10 metres, with walls reducing range further.
-
Force-quit and reopen the EcoFlow app.
Close the EcoFlow app completely from the app switcher. Reopen it and try to connect again. A stale app session is a common cause of connection failures.
-
Update the EcoFlow app to the latest version.
Open the App Store or Google Play → search for EcoFlow → update if available. Older app versions frequently fail to connect after EcoFlow releases new unit firmware.
-
Forget and re-pair the device in the app.
In the EcoFlow app → My Devices → select your unit → Settings → Remove Device. Then tap the + icon to add it again. On the unit, hold the Bluetooth button (or follow the app pairing instructions) to enter pairing mode.
-
Connect the EcoFlow to your home Wi-Fi.
For remote monitoring (when not near the unit), connect the EcoFlow to your home Wi-Fi in the app settings. Go to Device Settings → Wi-Fi → enter your network credentials. After this, you can monitor and control the unit from anywhere.
When to Call a Professional
App connectivity is a software issue — EcoFlow support can walk you through pairing remotely. The power station's physical functions (charging, output) work independently of the app.
Frequently Asked Questions
EcoFlow app shows my unit as offline even though it is on — why?
Offline in the app means the unit is not connected to Wi-Fi or the EcoFlow cloud. The unit still works normally — offline status only affects remote monitoring. Connect the unit to Wi-Fi via the app settings to restore cloud status.
I got a new phone and the EcoFlow app will not find my power station — how to re-pair?
On your new phone, install the EcoFlow app and log in to the same EcoFlow account. Your unit should appear in My Devices if it is connected to Wi-Fi. If it is not, pair via Bluetooth by standing next to the unit and following the Add Device steps in the app.
