Err 41

EcoFlow Portable Power Station

Severity: Moderate

What it means

EcoFlow Err 41 means the internal AC inverter has reported a hardware fault — the circuit that converts the battery's DC to 230V (or 120V) AC has detected something wrong with itself.
All AC sockets disable; DC and USB usually keep working.
Err 41 sometimes clears on a full reset, but a repeating Err 41 is a service issue.

Affected Models

  • EcoFlow DELTA / DELTA 2
  • EcoFlow DELTA Max
  • EcoFlow DELTA Pro
  • EcoFlow RIVER Pro / RIVER 2 Pro

Common Causes

  • Inrush from a high-startup-current appliance briefly faulted an inverter MOSFET
  • Inverter overheated after sustained high-load use (especially if the unit was charging at the same time)
  • Internal fuse on the AC stage opened
  • Firmware glitch — usually fixed by a full power-cycle
  • Hardware failure (capacitor, MOSFET) — service required

How to Fix It

  1. Switch off the AC output.

Press the AC button on the front panel until the AC indicator goes dark.
This stops the inverter from immediately trying again on next power-up — which would just re-trip Err 41 if the fault is still there.

  2. Do a hard reset.

Hold the main power button for 8-10 seconds until the screen goes black.
    Disconnect any wall charging cable.
Leave the unit alone for 5 minutes — enough time for thermal protection to release if heat was the cause.
Power back on with no AC load attached.

  3. Test the AC side with a small load.

Plug in something tiny — a phone charger or a small lamp — before plugging anything big in.
If the AC output runs that load cleanly for 10+ minutes, the inverter is functional and the original Err 41 was a one-off thermal event.
If Err 41 returns immediately, the inverter has a real fault.

  4. Check for firmware updates.

Connect the unit to the EcoFlow app over Bluetooth.
Firmware updates have specifically addressed false Err 41 trips on early DELTA 2 units.
Update if anything is available, then retest.

When to Call a Professional

If Err 41 returns within minutes of every restart, stop trying to use the AC side.
Contact EcoFlow support with the unit's serial number and your purchase date — units inside the 2-year warranty are typically repaired or swapped.
Don't open the case; it voids the warranty and there are unfused capacitors inside that hold dangerous charge.
